Utasa Moreu
Utasa Moreu
Handwoven Indian Cotton
The Utasa motif block printed and resist dyed in a contrasting pattern. The popular graphic pattern which translates to 'spiralling intersecting cross' is made with all natural colours and features a border with folded hem finish. Made with an 'L' shaped utensil to make the traditional intersection cross and a spiralling geometric form. The material has a light and tighter weave, giving a smooth paper-like feel which is comforting to the skin. The contemporary approach of block print and dyeing the Kala produces a clay and branch landscape.
