The Utasa motif block printed and resist dyed in a contrasting pattern. The popular graphic pattern which translates 'intersecting cross' is made with all natural colours and features a border with folded hem finish. Made with an 'L' shaped utensil to make the traditional intersection cross and features a symmetrical geometric form. The material is a medium weight, hand spun and handwoven cotton, created by master weaver Ko Uchimura San, when dyed and washed, leaves and ominous khaki warmth, reminding the yarn of its roots in nature.
